Worship Teams, Choir, and Special Music

Music is a vital and joyful part of worship life; drawing hearts together, lifting prayer through song, and helping all generations connect more deeply with God. Our music ministries reflect a thoughtful blend of tradition and contemporary expression, offering something meaningful for every age and stage of faith.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly… singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” – Colossians 3:16

Choir at St Andrews Presbyterian Church Parry Sound

Our Worship Ministry includes four worship teams that serve on a rotating schedule, each offering a unique blend of voices and styles. Len provides musical accompaniment and vocals across all teams, helping to create a cohesive and prayerful worship experience for all.

Worship at St. Andrew’s brings together traditional hymns played on the beautiful pipe organ, and a mix of contemporary praise worship along with beloved gospel favourites led by our worship teams and keyboard accompaniment. In both styles, lyrics are provided and the congregation is invited to sing together, honouring tradition while embracing freshness and accessibility.

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.” – Psalm 100:1

The Choir at St. Andrew’s gathers for special seasons and occasions, including Advent and Easter. Choir members rehearse together for about 6 weeks leading up to these celebrations, offering rich, meaningful choral music that enhances worship during these sacred times.

This flexible approach allows singers to participate deeply without the pressure of year-round rehearsals, making it accessible and joyful for many.

“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.” – Psalm 96:1

Throughout the year, worship is enriched through Special Music, featuring soloists, duets, small groups and special guests. These offerings are shared as musical reflections during worship, adding variety and personal expression to our services.

Special Music provides opportunities for individuals and small groups to share their musical gifts in a supportive, worship-centered setting.

“Whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31
